Online Guide - Setup IMAP Email Client
IMAP is a mail access protocol that allows you to access and manage your mail from the server without downloading the mail.
IMAP provides similar functionality to HTTPMail, whereby an email client such as Outlook Express or Outlook 2002 can access and manage messages and folders on the server. Unlike HTTP, IMAP requires SMTP to send messages.
IMAP Mail settings in a glance:
| SETTINGS | VALUE |
| Incoming Server Type: | IMAP |
| Incoming mail server: | mail.yourdomain.com |
Since IMAP is an authenticated service, you will need to use your usual account credentials when prompted (ie: User@domain.com).
