Here's a news blog on masquerading emails which are scams or phishing (identity theft) or are infected with worms/virus.
We didn't send them; we merely publish what we have received, for the benefits of users who are not aware of Internet scams and identity theft.
Have an increased awareness to avoid being misled by scams and phishing. Inform your family member and friends not to fall for these scams.

Goodmorning,
I sent you an email earlier , perhaps it did not get to you.
I worked at Galp Energia in Liechtenstein ( www.galpenergia.com ) and Umoe ASA Oil and Gas Norway following it's merger with ABB Oil and Gas (www.abb.com ) in 2000. Unfortunately I was aboard the ship that capsized at Vatlestraumen off the coast of Norway on 19th January, 2004 (please view http://www.cnn.com/2004/WORLD/europe/01/19/norway.ship/ ).
Luckily I survived, the experience completely changed my perception about life, materialism, the crave to acquire wealth and luxuries in it's entirety, I was lucky I wouldn't be here.
I lost my beloved Husband several years ago to whom I bore no child, we planned adopting one before he sadly passed on, it's been difficult without him until the fatal Sea accident.

I need you to help me look at the best location (worst affected areas, towns, suburbs where there are people in desperate need for assistance). What can be provided to meet their basic needs, health, shelter, food, rehabilitations and re-orientation into the society for addicts, teenage mothers, motherless kids orphans etc, we can provide basic learning facilities, employ religious counselors and educators/teachers to help bring them back meaningfully to societal positivism, bring back joy to as many, heal the wounded and light up their days again.
I have been diagnosed with systemic lupus erythematosus, doctors say it has seriously affected my kidneys and gastrointestinal tract, I am not able to do much physically this is the reason I need your assistance.

This email is a scam, not a worm or virus. The email do not have any infected attachments.
The offer may sound tempting and looks worth taking a risk for the big reward. DO NOT fall into this scam.
If you reply, you will probably be asked to pay some US$100 to start off the fund transfer process. The excuse for requiring your payment is that the scammer themselves cannot be involved in any payment to avoid being caught linking the transfer. Of course, if you pay up the first time, you will be asked for further payments for other issues.
Once you become suspicious of them and ask many questions about the payment, they will stop responding the email and start looking for other victims.
